Dave Penny – January 2019 –  “The longest climb in the world 50 miles fully surfaced “ The top is 3,700 metres A B SL. I started at 7.30 am and I reached the summit at 4.30 pm. The first rider arrived at 2.00 pm. He started at 8 am as we had been split in two groups = slow and fast.
It was freezing cold on the last 10 miles of the climb and I was wearing 2 jerseys.

Tuesday Club run to the Coast – 1st January 2019 – The New Year has started.

Club at Capheaton – Early December 2018

Climbing!

Atop the Gibbet, fortunately with the Gibbet on Andy Murray’s head rather than the other way around!

En route to the seaside (Seahouses). It shouldn’t be uphill to the coast….

Don’t worry! The grin on Alison’s face tells the real story. Fully assisted, she was up and off 5 minutes after the photo was taken

This was taken shortly after we conquered Buttertubs. The café was very up market, with real china cups. Pity we missed it off the photo!

Seven lady riders – and lead rider Sue Hall managed to find this road close to Hexham on which Dave Cummins had never ridden before – top job Sue!
